Fishbone STF-12

1. Wear layer: 

    Also known as top layer or overlay, typically a transparent layer infused with aluminum oxide or the other hard particles like silicon carbide for added durability. Protect the floor from straches, scuffs, fading and stains. It's also resistant to heat and moisture. 

2. Decorative layer: 

    A very thin layer that provides the visual appeal of the floor, offering a wide range of designs including wood grains, stone textures, and abstract patterns. 

3. Core layer: 

    MDF/HDF core or base layer. Made from High-Density Fibreboard (HDF) or Medium-Density Fibreboard(MDF) consisting of wood fibres bounded together with resins under high temperature. Core layer provides the main structural support and stability to the flooring. It also affect the expansion due to changes in humidity. 

4. Backing layer: 

    Also known as balancing layer or underlayment. A thin layer of moisture-resistant material to act as a stablizing layer, preventing the floor from deformation.
