1. Wear layer: The wear layer, also called the top layer, is transparent and fortified with aluminum oxide or silicon carbide for added durability. This layer protects the surface from scratches, scuffs, fading, and stains, and is also heat and moisture resistant. 

2. Decorative layer: The decorative layer is a thin sheet that enhances the floor’s appearance with various designs like wood grains, stone, and abstract patterns. This layer offers diverse visual options, allowing for a customizable look to fit any interior design. 

3. Core layer: The core layer is made of High-Density Fibreboard (HDF) or Medium-Density Fibreboard (MDF) formed by binding wood fibers with resins. It provides essential structural support, influencing how the flooring expands and contracts with humidity changes.

4. Backing layer: Also known as the balancing layer, this moisture-resistant underlayment stabilizes the flooring, preventing warping or deformation over time. The backing layer helps ensure the flooring maintains its shape and durability through various environmental conditions.
